New York City

So I know I've been terrible about posting but school, cheer, dance, it all catches up with ya. But I am back to blogging and I couldn't be happier. As my first post of 2015, I needed a subject that is just as fabulous as this year will be so why not start with my trip to New York?
I had my outfits planned days in advance but sadly I only needed 3 of them. :( Whatever, as long as I'm in New York, I'm good with whatever.

Shirt: forever 21. Sweater: topshop. Shoes: coggles. Necklace: target.

Vest: JCrew. Sweater: vineyeard vines. (I ADORE the whale cutout on the elbow) Leggings: forever 21.
Shoes: sperry

I had not a spare moment on Friday. I was on the go all day starting with an early morning college visit to Fordham University. It was such a cute campus and I really love the possibility of going to college in New York. I know it would be the best fit for me.

The next stop on the college visit tour was Barnard College. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to talk to the co-chair of the dance department there and I fell in love with the school. (So #prayfordeirdre) Since Barnard is right across the street from Columbia, why not have a photo op there? (I was so Blair Waldorf in that moment.)

At the Seinfeld restaurant with my father showin off the dope snapchat filters.
Walking the streets of the Upper East Side. (The hotel we stayed at is behind me.)

Polaroids on the subway. So #city!!!!

My father and I at the Irish Echo's 40 under 40 event. I didn't know a soul and there were no other kids there but at least I got to dress up and the food was good!!

Times Square. It was 20 degrees out but had to show off my dress for the phhhoto.

Saturday was our last day but we still got to do a ton of things. After in more college visit at St. John's, it was time for the fun, touristy things to begin. First stop, 30 rock and a quick prayer at St. Pat's Cathedral.

Of course it would not be a sucessful visit to Manhattan without shopping on 5th Ave!! I stopped in Uniqlo, Forever 21 (which, in my opinion, is the best Forever 21 in America), and Saks 5th Ave. Then, it was time for a relaxing stroll through Cental Park.
Tbh, Central Park is one of my fav stops in the city.

Then it was time for the most anticipated part of the trip, THE LILLY PULLITZER STORE!!! It was so cute and it was everything I had imagined. It was like heaven, all Lilly everything.

Ya know, cute mirror selfies in the happiest dressing room I've been in.

These two dresses had to be my favorites from the new collection. The prints were amazing and both dresses were so flattering.

I ended up with a shift dress, shorts, and a tumblr. Don't worry. I'm sure they will be making appearances on here as soon as hell decides to stop freezing over in Chicago.

It was then time for my fight home and with sadness in my heart, I got on the 6:00 flight to Midway airport. I really enjoyed the colleges I visited over the weekend and am thrilled by the fact I can move here after graduation. The possibilities are limitless here and I can't wait to see what the future has in store. I hope it's not long at all before I get to back to one of my favorite places.

I promise not to go on a 6 month break any time soon.

Back to Misery (Oops I meant School)

Unfortunately, it's that time of year again where we return to our boring routine and leave our spontaneous summer lives behind. This summer has been the best one yet but I have to come to terms with the fact that it's over. It's time for me to focus on making this junior year the best one yet. The end of summer does have one good thing though , back to school shopping! Who doesn't love a good excuse to shop? Here was my first day outfit.
(Shirt: Lacoste. Skirt: Vineyard Vines. Shoes: Sperry. Backpack: Nine West.)

blinded by the sun

Junyah Year no regretzz!

Hope everyone has a fabulous school year! Good Luck surviving!

Montreal to Niagara (Day 3)

Every good thing must come to an end and that includes nationals. On my last day in Montreal, I watched a few of my friends dance and said goodbye to the beautiful city that had been my home for the past few days. My family and I thought it would be a cool idea to visit Niagra falls before crossing the border, so off to Niagra we went. (But not before one last photo shoot at Notre Dame.)

Almost everyday I was there, I visited this adorable French bakery and filled up on the tastiest macaroons and croissants. Def would recommend.

As I arrived in Niagra falls, it was nothing like I expected it to be. The actual falls was so beautiful but the town surrounding it was so commercialized and overdone. It was kind of like a low end Vegas. It was not my cup of tea but since I was there, I might as well make the most of it.

Me Realizing the mistake I made.

Legs more orange then the fruit. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Overall, this was one of my favorite vacations ever! (Probably because I placed so well at nationals.) Still, Montreal was a fun time and I can't wait to go back for the World Championships in the spring! Hope you enjoyed my Montreal series of blog posts. Til next time.
